Peacefully, with his wife by his side, at Riverglen Haven Nursing Home on Monday, December 12, 2011 in his 90th year. Bill, faithful husband for 61 years to Lenore “Lee” Townsend. Best Friend and Father of Jim (Lynne) Townsend and the late Laura Townsend (2008). Beloved Papa to grandchildren Jaimie and Robert. Dear brother of Robert “Bob” (Pat) Townsend and the late Babe McBrien. Bill will be long remembered by his many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, along with the many caregivers who supported him over the last 6 months at Riverglen Haven.
