With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Istvan (Steve) Csoka , with his family by his side, on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 in his 66th year at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket. He was born on January 24, 1947 in Dorog, Hungary. Predeceased by his father Istvan Csoka, his mother Margit (nee Szabo) Gyovai and his stepfather Jozsef Gyovai. He is survived by his brother Joseph Gyovai (Rosalind nee Moreau), nephews Michael (Cheryl nee Boorman) & Peter, great-niece Christriana and great-nephews Andrew & Phoenix. Steve will be miss by his cousins who shared his home Gellent and Rozalia (nee Szabo) Hegedus, Eddie, Mercedesz (Brad Martin) and other relatives in Ontario, the U.S.A. and Hungary. A special mention for Steve’s dogs “Whiskey” and “Huba” and his cats. Steve was a Registered/Certified Vocational Consultant, Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist. Cremation had taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Steve's home on Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. If desired, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
