Forbes, Alexander (Member of Sharon Lodge #97) It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Alex, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Surrounded by his family he passed away at his home in Keswick, with dignity and grace on Thursday, December 10, 2009 in his 83rd year. A loving husband for 59 years of Pat Forbes and a wonderful father to his children Gord (Nancy), Nancy (Robert), Doug (Peggy) and Joanne (Jim). Proud grandfather to Kim, Scott, Carey, Melissa, Suzanne, Haley, Hayden, Aaron, Callum and Jake and great-grandfather to Jaylen, Ariel, Simeon and Tristan. Dear brother of Ian (Pat) Forbes. Predeceased by brothers Gordon and Allan Forbes. During his longtime ownership of Scarboro Optical, Al was an excellent businessman, very dedicated with his time and care of all his customers. He will always be remembered for his generous heart, unconditional love and positive outlook on life. He was an inspiration to all and well respected and loved by everyone. Visitation from M.W.
