Harold Benson

Passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Friday, December 5, 2014 in his 93rd year. Dearly loved husband for 73 years of Anne Benson (nee Gowans) of Keswick. Loving father of Leonore Lowson (Alan), Charmaine Magiera and Vivien Lonergan. Predeceased by daughter Margaret George, son-in-laws Ken George, Dennis St.Jean and Tim Lonergan and one grandson Murray Craig. Cherished grandfather of Pamela (Scott), Julie (Brian), Adele(Hugh), Wendy (Rob), Jackie (P.J.), Kerri, Jocelyn (Paul) and Sean, and great-grandfather of 12. Predeceased by his brothers Leonard, Neil and Jack. Harry will be greatly missed by many family and friends, Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life service will be held at M.W. Becker Funeral Home, 490 The Queensway S., Keswick on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 2;00p.m. The family will receive friends from 12.00 noon until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
