(Retired Nortel Employee of 40 years) Suddenly at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the age of 86. Dearly loved husband of Beverley. Loving father of Robert C. Armitage (Sharon Turner), Susan Haggart (Paul Day), Joy Armitage (Scott Taylor) and Maureen Cornthwaite (Robert Prior). Cherished grandfather of Andrea (Jonathan) Derrick, Alison Armitage, Alexandra Haggart, Robert N.R. Armitage, Melissa Cornthwaite, Kevin Day, Nicholas Taylor, Chelsea Cornthwaite, Sam Taylor and Wesley Day. Great-grandfather of Julia Conte and Olivia Derrick. Predeceased by his great-grandson Lucas Derrick. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the M.W. Becker Funeral Home, 490 The Queensway S., Keswick, 905-476-7711 on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Cremation has taken place. If desired, donations made to the Hospital for Sick Kids would be appreciated by the family.
