Margaret Facer

Margaret Facer, born Margaret Elizabeth McLeod, passed away on Friday, April 22 at the age of 77. Adored mother of Gaye, Anne, Allison and Cameron and beloved mother-in-law to Tim, Graeme, Jamie and Karen, Grandma Marg/Maggie Mog will also be missed by Emma, Sierra, Jackson, Noah, Grace and Claire. Former wife of Richard Facer and partner of Frank Thorneycroft. Daughter of Betty and Norman McLeod, sister to Anna Jean and aunt to members of the Buchanan, Thomson, and King families, Marg grew up in Hespeler & Galt and went to Galt High School and Branksome Hall before attending Waterloo Lutheran (Wilfred Laurier) University. Marg also called Appleby College-Oakville, Parry Sound, Rosseau Lake College, Peterborough, New Lowell, and Keswick home at different points in her life. Although trained as a teacher, Marg took great pride in creating her own business as a title-searcher. A memorial service will be held on June 29th at 1:00pm at Burlington Golf and Country Club. In Marg’s memory, donations can be made to The Alzheimer Society.
