Malcolm Litchfield Payne

1937 — February 13, 2011

After a valiant 12 year battle with cancer, Malcolm passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Southlake Regional Health Centre on Sunday February 13th, 2011 in Newmarket Ontario. During Malcolm’s 74 years he did a lot of living. He played football, boxed, raced cars, travelled, ran marathons, was an avid music lover. Malcolm was an Engineer, well respected in his field. Much loved father of Isabelle Payne (Thomas Whalley) and cherished Granddad of Emily and Duncan. Beloved eldest son of the late Evan and Irma Payne. Dear brother of Tony (Nancy), Trevor, Randy, and the late Beverly. “Cool Uncle Malcolm” to Jency, Tobi-Lynne, Jason, Tracy (Marc) and Ryan. Malcolm will be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends. A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held in Malcolm’s honor at 2p.m. on Saturday April 23rd, 2011 at Christ Church United 214-14th Avenue, Deux Montagnes, QC. Tel: (450) 473-4784. At Malcolm’s request, cremation has already taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Southlake Regional Health Centre (specifically Cancer Care/Palliative Care Units) would be appreciated by the family.
