William James Scott "Bill"

Passed away peacefully at his home in Keswick after a lengthy illness on Wednesday February 21, 2024, at the age of 90 years, weeks shy of his 91st birthday. Beloved husband of 68 years to Blanche (Betty) Scott. Loving father of Brian Scott, Brenda Scott-Kerr (Chris), predeceased by his son Barry Scott and his sister Betty Woods. Cherished Uncle Bill to many nieces and nephews, including many who were not related but treated him like their Uncle. A big thank you to his great-niece Shannon Maloney for her knowledge and expertise and his surrogate daughter Diane Rupp for helping the family care for him the last few weeks. Bill loved his sports, watching his favourite hockey team the Toronto Maple Leafs and if they weren’t on he would watch his second favourite team the Boston Bruins. Sunday’s were always football days. He loved to sit on the deck with a few beers with his face in the sun enjoying the company of whoever was there. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and all who loved him. Cremation has taken place and per his wishes, there will be no funeral service. Donations in Bill’s memory may be made to Sick Kids Hospital. Arrangements entrusted to the MW Becker Funeral Home, Keswick, ON.
