Pieter Oostwouder

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Pieter Oostwouder (Keswick, Ontario) passed away at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Monday, October 14, 2024 at the age of 79 years. Pieter was born on December 21, 1944 in Den Haag, Holland. His wife, Evelina and himself moved to Canada with their son in 1967. There they had their daughter, Monique in 1970. His memories will forever be shared through his marriage with his wife of 59 years, his children Arjen (Barb) and Monique, and his cherished granddaughter Samantha (Caleb). 

We want to give a big thank you to his care providers, Karen (PSW), Dr. Alter (GP), Dr. Gittipour (GP), and the amazing hospital staff on floor 5 (Cardiac; east wing) at SRHC. 

Visitation will be held at the MW Becker Funeral Home, 490 The Queensway South, Keswick, on Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. 

In memory of Pieter, donations made to the Cardiac Care Unit at SLRHC or to the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) would be appreciated.
