Suddenly at Toronto General Hospital, on Saturday December 26, 2009 in her 76th year. Pre-deceased by her parents Alice and Francis Morton. Mary will be greatly missed by several cousins and many friends, especially her business partner Fern Ramsey and everyone who new her in the Travel Industry. During her lifetime Mary travelled extensively and developed lasting friendships both in the business and personal world. Mary began her career as a school teacher in the Keswick area. In 1966, she started Mary Morton Tours doing bus trips specializing in theatre tours to Stratford Festival, Shaw Festival, The Red Barn, The Briars, and many theatre venues throughout Ontario and Northern U.S. Due to failing health she sold her business, which still operated as Mary Morton Tours in Ailsa Craig. After her retirement Mary remained very active in all aspects of the travel industry, still participating in many tours and travel conferences. At Mary’s request there would be no funeral service. A Graveside Committal Service will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at Queensville Cemetery, 20778 Leslie St., followed by a reception back at the funeral home.
