Founding Father of the Aurora Soccer Club, and with Fay by his side, started petitioned to build the arena in East Gwillimbury and saw their dream to completion and went on to coach hockey there for years to come. Joe Died peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre on Friday May 25, 2018 at the age of 87 years, 10 months after losing his beloved Fay (nee Black). Joe, loving father of Michael and Steven and his wife Val, both of Queensville, Mark and his wife Elvie of Barrie and the late Annmarie (1987). Cherished “Papa” of Noelle (Radu Goia), Autumn, Brittany, Shannon, Dalton, Dakota, Pheobe and great grandpa of Kenzie. Dear brother of Louise (late Norman Burns) and Jean (Bob Daniels) both of Toronto. He will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends and neighbors in the close knit Queensville farming community. Visitation will be held at the MW Becker Funeral Home 490 The Queensway South Keswick, Ontario on Wednesday May 30, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday May 31, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Queensville Cemetery.
