Frederick William Handy

Passed away peacefully, with his daughters by his side, on January 23rd, 2012 at Southlake Regional Health Centre at the age of 74 years. Predeceased by his partner Joanne and survived by his former wife Martha. Loving father of Donna (Mike Kurz), Sherri Handy (Dave Brownsberger) and the late Phillip Handy. Cherished grandfather of Angela (Ralph), Sean, Amanda, Raymond, Ashley and Brad. Dear brother of Phil (Dot), Joe (Doris), Lorna and brother-in-law of Cec. Predeceased by siblings Shirley, Jackie and Lorne. Fred is survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends and is predeceased by his special canine companion Maggie. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at M.W. Becker Funeral Home [905-476-7711] on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. If desired, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
