Edith Maude Warren was born and grew up in Toronto where she raised her three children. Edie passed away peacefully with her son, Norman Gilbert Warren (Karen Flicker-Warren) and daughter Sharon Lee Smith by her side. During sixty years of marriage Edie was a devoted wife to Bill, and a loving mother who spent summers with her children at Willow Beach, where the family eventually moved. She will be remembered by family and friends at Keswick Gardens as a quiet, kind, and intelligent lady who was ready with a smile and laughed easily at a good joke, well told. Edie was predeceased by her husband, William Walter Warren and her daughter, Shirley Bernice Dearle (Paul Dearle). She was the cherished grandmother of Katherine Anne Judge of Alliston, James Andrew Judge of Markdale, Jennifer Crowder Paterson of Jackson’s Point, Matthew Norman Flicker-Warren and Nicole Beverly Flicker-Warren of Keswick, and Haily Ann Flicker-Warren of Calgary. Great-grandmother to Jordan, Jamee, Sasha, and Aidan, and great great-grandmother to Ryley. Dear sister of the late Dorothy Cooper Girling and Irene Iddison. Edie will be missed by many affectionate nieces and nephews, as well as her cousin Sylvia Evans of Essex Dagenham, UK. Private family service, entrusted to the M.W. Becker Funeral Home, Keswick, Ontario. In memory of Edith, donations may be made to the CNIB Foundation. Sign an online book of condolences at mwbeckerfuneralhome.com
