Douwe DeJong "Don"

Born in Exmorra, the Netherlands, Douwe (Don) DeJong passed away peacefully at Cedarvale Lodge LTC at the age of 93 years.

Beloved husband of the late Bertha. Dear Father of Betty, Michael (Donna) and Cynthia (the late Ron). Cherished Papa of April (Andrew) and Devin. Don is survived by brothers, Kobus and Durk, all of the Netherlands, and sister-in-laws, Doris Lee and Pearl Craig. Predeceased by his siblings Rein, Kaatje, Harry, Sietze, Johannes, Rinke, Hannie and Eddie. Don will be forever remembered by his extended family and friends.

A special thank you to all the staff at Cedarvale for their exceptional care and compassion throughout our Father’s journey.

Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place at a later date. In memory of Don, donations made to the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre would be appreciated by the family.
