Bruce Earl Pollock

Bruce passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at the age of 84 years, at Hospice Vaughan, after an 11 year battle with cancer. 

His family and friends will miss Bruce's wit, honesty, clever mind, and helping hands. Bruce was a loyal person and gave his family a wonderful example of how to work hard. He brought these qualities to his employment with the Town Roads Dept., and then after he retired to Keswick Home Hardware. Bruce volunteered in many capacities in the community. He worked with Habitat for Humanity, the Foodbank, and the church. It was actions, much more than words, that spoke of dad's deep faith in God.

Predeceased by his loving wife Margaret Pollock (Blanchard). Beloved dad of Melinda (Eric Medri) and Charlene Pollock (Dave Mullings). Cherished Grandpa of Matthew and Evan Medri, Maegan, Alisha & Karissa Mullings and great grandpa of Zayne Mullings. Dear brother of Wayne Pollock, Brian Pollock, Lillian Miller and predeceased by his sister Iva McNeill. Remembered by Debby and Grant Stevenson, and their children Aaron and Nathan. Bruce’s big heart, smile and warm laugh will be missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbors, and many friends.

Special thanks to his community nurse Sandra, Stronach Cancer Centre Staff (especially Shondra and Dr. Bagiuo), Hospice Vaughan staff & volunteers; his neighbours and his brother Wayne for all the love and support provided during these past months.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Keswick Christian Church Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 11:30AM with light refreshments to follow. Cremation has taken place as per his wishes and a private interment at Queensville Cemetery will be held at a later date.

In Memory of Bruce, in lieu of flowers, donations to Operation Smile Canada, Hospice Vaughan  or Stronach Cancer Centre  would be appreciated.
