Katherine Louise Harris

Passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones after a hard fought battle with Alzheimer’s Dementia on Thursday April 14, 2022. Kitty will be missed by Family and many Good Friends. Surviving Polio as a child- she never let that stop her from doing anything she set her mind to even with her physical limitation. Her passion and chosen career as a Teacher led to her teaching for the Scarborough School board, being a Red Cross instructor; as well being a Leader and Trainer for the Girl Guides of Canada, which gave her opportunities to travel the world. She loved music and belonged to several choirs; Toronto Classical Singers and the Choir at Eglinton St. George's United Church. Many thanks to the amazing staff at River Glen Haven for the outstanding compassion and care! A private celebration of life to be held at a later date. Interment at Rockwood Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to the MW Becker Funeral Home, Keswick, Ontario. Donations to your local Alzheimer’s Society in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
